नई दिल्ली। भारत को दोनों फॉर्मेट एक दिवसीय (One Day Cricket) और टी20 (T20) में वर्ल्ड कप (World cup) जिताने वाले पूर्व कप्तान और अनुभवी विकेटकीपर बल्लेबाज 39 साल के महेंद्र सिंह धोनी (Mahendra Singh Dhoni) ने इंटरनेशनल क्रिकेट (International Cricket) को अलविदा कह दिया है। उन्होंने शनिवार को 16 साल लंबे अंतरराष्ट्रीय करियर को विराम दिया। एमएस धोनी ने दिसंबर 2004 में बांग्लादेश के खिलाफ वनडे खेलकर इंटरनेशनल क्रिकेट में पदार्पण किया था। हालांकि एमएस धोनी (MS Dhoni) आईपीएल (IPL) खेलते रहेंगे।
लेकिन एमएस धोनी (MS Dhoni) के द्वारा अचानक इंटरनेशल क्रिकेट (International Cricket) से विदाई की घोषणा के बाद सोशल मीडिया (Social Media) पर तो मानो जैसे बधाईयों का तांता ही लग गया। लोग उनके भारतीय क्रिकेट में योगदान को याद कर रहे हैं। इसके साथ ही लोग भारतीय क्रिकेट से कैप्टन कूल (Captain cool) के अलविदा कहने के अचानक लिए फैसले पर हैरान भी हैं। लोगों को उम्मीद थी की एमएस धोनी 2020 में होनेवाले टी20 वर्ल्ड कप में जरूर खेलेंगे। लेकिन धोनी ने यह निर्णय शायद इसलिए लिया क्योंकि 2020 में अब टी20 वर्ल्ड कप होने की संभावना कम ही नजर आ रही है। कोरोना की वजह से इस प्रतियोगिता की अभी तक कोई तारीख निर्धारित नहीं की जा सकी है।
इस मौके पर धोनी का भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम के कप्तान विराट कोहली ने भी धोनी को बधाई दी। इसके साथ ही कई नेताओं, अभिनेताओं, खिलाड़ियों और नामी हस्तियों ने महेंद्र सिंह धोनी के भारतीय क्रिकेट में योगदान को याद किया और उनकी नई जीवन की पारी शुरू करने की अग्रिम बधाई भी दी।
